About Progressive Primary Care.
A Different Kind of Primary Care in Salt Lake County, UT.
Progressive Primary Care is a Direct Primary Care clinic serving Salt Lake County, including Sandy, Cottonwood Heights, Draper and the greater Salt Lake City area. We offer personalized, relationship-based primary care with simple, affordable monthly pricing—so you can focus on your health, not the hassle of healthcare.
Our practice was built on a belief that medicine works best when doctors have the time, space, and freedom to truly care for their patients.
Why Progressive Primary Care Exists.
In today’s healthcare system, many patients struggle to get timely appointments, feel rushed during visits, and face confusing costs—even when they’re insured. At the same time, physicians are often expected to care for thousands of patients, leaving little room for prevention, education, or meaningful connection.
Progressive Primary Care was created as a response to that system.
By removing insurance from everyday primary care, we’re able to offer longer visits, easier access, and a more proactive approach to health. Our focus isn’t just treating illness—it’s helping patients stay well over time.
Meet Dr. Dennis P. Law.
Progressive Primary Care is led by Dr. Dennis P. Law, a board-certified internal medicine physician with more than a decade of experience caring for patients across Utah.
Dr. Law earned his medical degree in 2009 and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Utah in 2012. He began his career as a hospitalist, caring for acutely ill patients in the hospital setting.
Over time, increasing patient volumes and system pressures turned care into something rushed and reactive. Too often, Dr. Law saw patients suffering from conditions that could have been prevented—if they’d been able to access timely primary care earlier.
Seeking a better way, he transitioned into home-based elder care, but the same insurance-driven barriers persisted. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the strain of those systemic challenges led him to step back and reflect.
That pause became a turning point.
Dr. Law realized he wanted to be part of the solution—not just a witness to a broken system. Direct Primary Care aligned with everything he believed medicine should be: personal, accessible, and centered on trust.
