About Progressive Primary Care.

A Different Kind of Primary Care in Salt Lake County, UT.

Progressive Primary Care is a Direct Primary Care clinic serving Salt Lake County, including Sandy, Cottonwood Heights, Draper and the greater Salt Lake City area. We offer personalized, relationship-based primary care with simple, affordable monthly pricing—so you can focus on your health, not the hassle of healthcare.

Our practice was built on a belief that medicine works best when doctors have the time, space, and freedom to truly care for their patients.

Why Progressive Primary Care Exists.

In today’s healthcare system, many patients struggle to get timely appointments, feel rushed during visits, and face confusing costs—even when they’re insured. At the same time, physicians are often expected to care for thousands of patients, leaving little room for prevention, education, or meaningful connection.

Progressive Primary Care was created as a response to that system.

By removing insurance from everyday primary care, we’re able to offer longer visits, easier access, and a more proactive approach to health. Our focus isn’t just treating illness—it’s helping patients stay well over time.

Meet Dr. Dennis P. Law.

Progressive Primary Care is led by Dr. Dennis P. Law, an Internal Medicine physician with more than 14 years of experience caring for adults throughout Utah.

Dr. Law earned his medical degree in 2009 and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Utah in 2012. He began his career as a hospitalist, caring for acutely ill patients and managing complex medical conditions in the hospital setting.

Over time, his career expanded into home-based geriatric primary care, where he developed a deep appreciation for the importance of preventive medicine, continuity of care, and strong physician-patient relationships. Working with older adults and patients managing multiple chronic conditions gave him a unique perspective on how healthcare can help people maintain their independence, improve their quality of life, and avoid unnecessary hospitalizations.

Through both hospital medicine and geriatric care, Dr. Law saw firsthand that many serious health problems can often be prevented—or better managed—when patients have timely access to a trusted physician who knows them well. Those experiences ultimately led him to Direct Primary Care, a model that allows him to provide the kind of medicine he believes patients deserve.

At Progressive Primary Care, Dr. Law focuses on building long-term relationships with his patients through longer appointments, direct access, same- or next-day availability, and personalized care plans. He has particular interests in preventive medicine, chronic disease management, healthy aging, weight management, and helping patients take an active role in their health.

Dr. Law believes healthcare works best when patients have the time, access, and support they need to make informed decisions. His goal is simple: to provide thoughtful, relationship-centered care that helps patients stay healthier, longer.
